President - Maureen Slendorn
- Straight Up Construction Consultants is a newly established women owned business which is owned and operated by Maureen Slendorn. Maureen has over 30 years in the business industry working in both the private and public sector. Her vast career has included working for the Department of Transportation in the Construction Division where she was involved in many key projects, such as the redevelopment of Route 9 and Route 18, and in the NJDOT Corporate office supporting Construction Engineers on highway re-developments. In addition, she has expertise in the Human Resources area. In 2000, Maureen was awarded the Women in Industry award by the YWCA for her work in Human Resources, this knowledge along with excellent business acumen has launched her into this new business venture, Straight Up Construction Consulting.
Vice President - James Slendorn
- James Slendorn is the Vice President of Straight Up Construction Consultants who has spent his career in the Construction Industry. Jim started his career over 36 years ago as a Union Ironworker, learning the business in the field. Jim has superior expertise in structural steel, reinforcement steel, precast, fencing, roofing, crane operations, and all components pertaining to a fit out. Later, he rose to the position of Estimator and Superintendent on numerous projects throughout the Tri State area. In addition, Jim is educated in the area of construction safety. Jim’s vast knowledge in the construction industry has now afforded him an opportunity in managing a new company “Straight Up Construction Consultants”, where he can offer his expertise in construction planning, scheduling, managing subcontracts and submittals to deliver superior industrial construction projects.
